Για όλους εμάς που παρακολουθούμε μεν την τελευταία πενταετία τις προσπάθειες της ομάδας του Impro Jazz Workshop, δεν έχουμε καταφέρει δε να ζήσουμε κάποιο από τα καλοκαιρινά του εργαστήρια, χθες βράδυ στο The Zoo αντιληφθήκαμε πλήρως τι έχουν πετύχει αυτοί οι άνθρωποι: Έχουν φτιάξει μια νέα, χαρούμενη και δοτική παρέα, μια ομάδα ανθρώπων διαφορετικών ηλικιών που αγαπούν τη μουσική. Οι "δάσκαλοι" είναι και φίλοι τους, εμπνευστές χωρίς διαχωριστικές γραμμές. Με νέα έδρα το χωρίο Αναβρυτή Λακωνίας, το Impro Jazz Worrkshop που διοργανώνεται από το Εργαστήρι Τζαζ Αυτοσχεδιασμού με επικεφαλής τον Ανδρέα Παπαγιαννακόπουλο (αισθητή η απουσία του χθες λόγω ασθένειας και φυσικά άπαντες αφιέρωσαν το live σε εκείνον), ετοιμάζεται ήδη για την 6η του χρονιά και ευχόμαστε ολόψυχα να τα χιλιάσει! Στο καθαρά μουσικό μέρος, η χθεσινή συναυλία ήταν μια γιορτή. Παίζοντας jazz standards με κέφι και φουλ ενέργεια, η καθηγητική ομάδα του workshop μας χάρισε μια πολύ όμορφη βραδιά. Με μπροστάρη τον μετρ του tap dance και του body percussion Θάνο Δασκαλόπουλο που έδωσε ρέστα. Με τον Γιάννη Παπαναστασίου σε μεγάλα κέφια. Με το Νίκο Σιδηροκαστρίτη να δίνει την ψυχούλα του. Με τον Κώστα Γιαξόγλου και τον Βασίλη Στεφανόπουλο να χορεύουν κι εκείνοι στον δικό τους ρυθμό. Και με το κοινό από κάτω να συμμετέχει κι εκείνο, χειροκροτώντας τους πέντε μουσικούς. Η βραδιά ήταν αφιερωμένη στον Ανδρέα Παπαγιαννακόπουλο που -αν κι έλειπε λόγω ασθένειας-ήταν εκεί. Και του χρόνου! Τώρα που αυτός ο κύκλος έκλεισε, είχαμε χθες την ευκαιρία να κάνουμε ένα ακόμη ταξίδι με το "Λεωφορείο", ακούγοντας ξανά τις συνθέσεις του Ανδρέα, αυτή τη φορά με το καινούργιο του τρίο, το οποίο συναποτελούν ο Ηλίας Καρακαβέλιας στο κοντραμπάσο και ο Αναστάσης Γούλιαρης στα τύμπανα, αλλά και να πάρουμε μια πρώτη γεύση από ορισμένες καινούργιες συνθέσεις του Βολιώτη κιθαρίστα από την δεύτερη δουλειά του με τίτλο "A woman trying to escape" (εξαιρετικός πραγματικά τίτλος εμπνευσμένος από έναν πίνακα του Μιρό), η οποία αρχίζει και διαμορφώνεται σιγα σιγά.
