Short Biography
Nikos Kassavetis is a drummer who combines his classical percussion studies with jazz drumming, creating a personal sound.
He has collaborated with Vangelis Papathanasiou in the album "Mythodia", with Vicky Samson, with the Dutch saxophone player Peter Massink in "Birds have to fly" and with Andrea Bocelli at Herodion. Since 1998 he plays drums and percussion in the Modern Music Orchestra of ERT.
He is a founding member of the Momo Trio (with George Dousis on piano and Paraskevas Kitsos on bass). Momo Trio has released three albums and represented Greece at the EBU Euroradio Jazz Day in 2016 and at the European Jazz Festival at Gazi. He currently works with the Continuo Trio.

Ο Νίκος Κασσαβέτης είναι ένας ντράμερ που τα κλασσικά κρουστά που σπούδασε με το jazz drumming, δημιουργώντας το δικό του προσωπικό ύφος.
Έχει συνεργαστεί με τον Βαγγέλη Παπαθανασίου στο άλμπουμ "Mythodia", με τη Vicky Samson, με τον Ολλανδό σαξοφωνίστα Peter Massink στο "Birds have to fly" και με τον Andrea Bocelli στο Ηρώδειο. Από το 1998 παίζει ντραμς και κρουστά στην Ορχήστρα Σύγχρονης Μουσικής της ΕΡΤ.
Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος του Momo Trio (μαζί με τον πιανίστα Γιώργο Δούση και το μπασίστα Παρασκευά Κίτσο). Το Momo Trio έχει κυκλοφορήσει τρία άλμπουμ και το 2016 εκπροσώπησε την Ελλάδα στο Euroradio Jazz Day της EBU και στο European Jazz Festival στο Γκάζι. Τα τελευταία χρόνια δουλεύει με το Continuo Trio.
