Short Biography
Orestis Petrakis (piano), Nick Thessalonikefs (drums) and Pedro Ivo Ferreira (double bass) met at the Conservatorium of Amsterdam in 2014. The idea of the trio was conceived and brought to life at the first moment they played together. With a strong musical connection, a growing friendship, and an ongoing search for musical identities, they composed and arranged together original material, which led to the release of their first album “Common Ground”, in 2017. The trio blends together traditional/folk, modern/contemporary jazz and rhythms from Brazil and Greece.

Ο Ορέστης Πετράκης (πιάνο), ο Νίκος Θεσσαλονικεύς (ντραμς) και ο Pedro Ivo Ferreira (μπάσο) γνωρίστηκαν στο Conservatorium van Amsterdam το 2014. Από την πρώτη στιγμή που έπαιξαν μαζί, προέκυψε η ιδέα για τη δημιουργία ενός τρίο. Με δυνατή μουσική επικοινωνία μεταξύ τους, μια φιλία που μεγάλωνε και μια διαρκή αναζήτηση μιας ξεχωριστής μουσικής ταυτότητας, έγραψαν και ενορχήστρωσαν από κοινού πρωτότυπο υλικό, που οδήγησε στο πρώτο τους άλμπουμ “Common Ground”, το 2017. Το τρίο συνδυάζει την παράδοση με τη σύγχρονη τζαζ και ρυθμούς από την Ελλάδα και τη Βραζιλία.
