Short Biography
Livadas George started palying the drums at the age of 13 and at the age of 16 he started music lessons next to Chrstos Liatsos. Since then he has been taught by Spyros Panagiotopoulos, Spyros Katamitsos and Michael Kapilidis, whereas he has obtained a degree in jazz harmony from the London College of Music, through the Musical Praxis Conservatory.
Nowadays he is specializing in jazz improvisation with Sylvios Syrros. He is one of the foynding members of the Open Maze Quintet, he has collaborated with Vasilis Rakopoulos, George Kontrafouris and many more well known musicians and groups of the folk, pop and ehtnic scene, in recordongs as well as in live performances.

Ο Γιώργος Λειβαδάς ξεκίνησε να παίζει ντραμς στα 13 και στα 16 ξεκίνησε μαθήματα με το Χρήστο Λιάτσο. Από τότε έχει διδαχτεί για χρόνια πλάι στον Σπύρο Παναγιωτόπουλο, τον Σπύρο Καραμήτσο και τον Μιχάλη Καπηλίδη, ενώ έχει αποκτήσει το πτυχίο jazz αρμονίας του London College of Music μέσω του Ωδείου Μουσικής Πράξης.
Σήμερα εξειδικεύεται στον jazz αυτοσχεδιασμό με τη βοήθεια του Σύλβιου Σύρρου. Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος του Open Maze Quintet, έχει συνεργαστεί με τον Βασίλη Ρακόπουλο, τον Γιώργο Κοντραφούρη και με δεκάδες σημαντικά ονόματα και σχήματα της έντεχνης, ποπ και ethnic σκηνής, τοσο συναυλιακά όσο και δισκογραφικά.
