Short Biography
Vardis Nick was born in Pireaus and from a very young age, he started his journey in the world of music, in the 70's. He started playing the guitar but pretty soon his interest truned to bass and the rock music of that time.
When he was 20 years old he moved to Paris and there he attended classes of bass along with harmony lessons with Jeff Gilson. In Paris he participated in various jazz ensembles as well as recordings of French musicians.
In 1986 he returned to Greece and he integrated into the Greek discography and music scene very quickly collaborating with well-known musicians.
At the same time he started working together with jazz musicians such as Markos Alexiou, Lakis Zois, George Trantalides and Alex Foster. He has taken part in numerous recordings.

Ο Νίκος Βαρδής γεννήθηκε στον Πειραιά και άρχισε από νεαρή ηλικία το μουσικό του ταξίδι κατά τη δεκαετία του ’70. Ξεκίνησε να παίζει κιθάρα και πολύ σύντομα τράβηξε την προσοχή του το ηλεκτρικό μπάσο και η ροκ μουσική της εποχής.
Σε ηλικία 20 ετών εγκαταστάθηκε στο Παρίσι, όπου παρακολούθησε μπάσου και μαθήματα αρμονίας από τον Jeff Gilson. Εκεί συμμετείχε σε τζαζ σχήματα και σε πολλές ηχογραφήσεις Γάλλων καλλιτεχνών.
Το 1986 επέστρεψε στην Ελλάδα και μπήκε γρήγορα στην ελληνική δισκογραφία συνεργαζόμενος με πολλά δημοφιλή ονόματα.
Ταυτόχρονα άρχισε να συνεργάζεται με μουσικούς της τζαζ σκηνής, όπως ο Μάρκος Αλεξίου, ο Λάκης Ζώης, ο Γιώργος Τανταλίδης και ο Alex Foster. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολυάριθμες ηχογραφήσεις.
