Short Biography

Nestor Dimopoulos started playing classical guitar at an early age.
He studied jazz guitar at Berklee College of Music in Boston (Diploma on Professional Music) and  had the opportunity to study with outstanding professors such as Ed Tommasi, Garrison Fewel, Ron Savage and play with artists from all over the world.  After finishing his studies at Berklee he took private lessons on Jazz Improvisation with Jerry Bergonzi for two years.
Coming back in Greece after spending a decade in the US, he started playing either as a band leader or a sideman in jazz festivals, clubs, special events with various settings.
Since 2006 he co-leads with the pianist-vocalist Evgenia Karlafti the group Music Soup. The band’s debut album “Cut to the chase” was released in 2016.
