Short Biography
Loizos Pafitis was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1986. He studied Jazz guitar performance at the Ionian University of Corfu and Leeds College of music.
He has been an active member in the Greek music scene playing with George Kontrafouris organ trio, the “Baby Trio”, with the funk group “Orchestra Sonora”, and with many Jazz artists, like Olivier Temime, Ann Paceo, Tim Libby, Gary Maine and Mariano Abello.
He is based in Cyprus where he composes and performs his music with various group arrangements around the local scene and festivals.
In 2014 he presented his original compositions at Fegaros Music Festival in the Organ trio format. He is also the bass player in the "Zilla Project”, the leading blues band in Cyprus.
He also teaches guitar at music schools around the Nicosia area.
His debut album “The Underdog” was released in 2018.
