Short Biography
Stelios Tsombanidis was born in Thessaloniki in 1983. His first contact with the rhythm was by his father, the drummer Dimitris Tsombanidis, at the age of 6.
He completed his musical studies at the Contemporary Conservatory and the Symphony Conservatory. He has attended seminars and music lessons by Dave Weckl, Peter Erskine, Lenny White, Horacio Hernadez and others.
He devoted himself to the study of various musical styles, rhythms and improvisations in jazz, fusion, funk, latin, rock, metal music, traditional and modern rhythms.
He has taught at the Conservatory of the Municipality of Sykea, at the Conservatory of Northern Greece, at the Toumba Conservatory of Costa Matsigou and at the Musicworkshop traditional & modern music.
He is a co-founder of MusicWorkshop traditional & modern music in 2006.
In 2008 he released his first solo album "Spirit Grace (Tableau)".
In 2014 he founded his own school and record company called AMS (About Music Studios & Lessons), where he now works.

Ο Στέλιος Τσομπανίδης γεννήθηκε στην Θεσσαλονίκη το 1983. H πρώτη επαφή με τον ρυθμό έγινε με τον πατέρα του, τον ντράμερ Δημήτρη Τσομπανίδη σε ηλικία 6 χρονών. Πραγματοποίησε τις μουσικές του σπουδές στο Σύγχρονο Ωδείο και το Ωδείο Συμφωνία.
Έχει παρακολουθήσει σεμινάρια και μαθήματα των μουσικών: Dave Weckl, Peter Erskine, Lenny White, Horacio Hernadez κ.ά. Αφοσιώθηκε στη μελέτη διαφόρων μουσικών στυλ, ρυθμών και αυτοσχεδιασμών στην Jazz, Fusion, Funk, Latin, Rock, Metal μουσική, τους μονούς, παραδοσιακούς και σύγχρονους ρυθμούς.
Έχει διδάξει στο Ωδείο του δήμου Συκεών, στο Ωδείο Βορείου Ελλάδος, στο Ωδείο Τούμπας Κώστα Ματσίγκου και στο Musicworkshop traditional & modern music. Είναι συνιδρυτής των ΜusicWorkshop traditional & modern music το 2006.
To 2008 κυκλοφόρησε ο πρώτος του προσωπικός δίσκος "Spirit Grace (Τableau)".
Το 2014 ίδρυσε τη δική του σχολή και δισκογραφική εταιρία όνομα AMS (About Music Studios & Lessons), όπου εργάζεται σήμερα.
