Short Biography
Christos Kladas was born in 1969 in Ilioupolis, Athens. He started learning and playing music in Ilioupolis Municipal Brass Band at the age of 16. He studied with Aris Karantanis, Antonis Ladopoulos and Vasilis Rakopoulos.
He studied saxophone in Jazz Schule Bern and then in the Jazz Department of the Musikhochschule Basel.
He has been teaching,composing and performing jazz since 1989. He composes music for children and theater. Since 2017 he has been leading Ilioupolis Municipal Brass Band.
Among others he has performed with Pyros Ether, Serafeim Bellos, Pantelis Benetatos and Alexandros Drakos Ktistakis.
His debut album as a leader "Jazz Suite No.1" was released in 2022.
He studied saxophone in Jazz Schule Bern and then in the Jazz Department of the Musikhochschule Basel.
He has been teaching,composing and performing jazz since 1989. He composes music for children and theater. Since 2017 he has been leading Ilioupolis Municipal Brass Band.
Among others he has performed with Pyros Ether, Serafeim Bellos, Pantelis Benetatos and Alexandros Drakos Ktistakis.

Ο Χρήστος Κλαδάς γεννήθηκε το 1969 στην Ηλιούπολη της Αθήνας. Άρχισε να μαθαίνει και να παίζει μουσική στη φιλαρμονική του Δήμου Ηλιούπολης σε ηλικία 16 ετών. Σπούδασε με τον Άρη Καραντάνη, τον Αντώνη Λαδόπουλο και τον Βασίλη Ρακόπουλο.
Σπούδασε σαξόφωνο στο Jazz Schule Bern και στη συνέχεια στο τμήμα Jazz του Musikhochschule Basel.
Διδάσκει, συνθέτει και ερμηνεύει τζαζ από το 1989. Συνθέτει μουσική για παιδιά και θέατρο. Από το 2017 ηγείται του δημοτικού συγκροτήματος χάλκινων πνευστών Ηλιούπολης. Μεταξύ άλλων έχει εμφανιστεί με τους Πυρός Αιθήρ, τον Σεραφείμ Μπέλλο, τον Παντελή Μπενετάτο και τον Αλέξανδρο Δράκο Κτιστάκη.
Το πρώτο του προσωπικό άλμπουμ, με τίτλο "Jazz Suite No.1", κυκλοφόρησε το 2022.
