Short Biography

Euripides Dionysiadis was born in Athens in 1989. His first encounter with music was at the age of 11 where he was drawn to the sound of the electric bass. He started studying extensively with bassist and composer Odysseas Konstantinopoulos.
In 2007 he started studying chemistry at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. At the same time, he began performing with bands around the city as well as recording with various artists. In 2012 he co-founded the jazz trio “Interplay”. In 2014, upon completion of his Chemistry studies, he starts collaborating with soul/RnB artist and producer Chris Zantioti, co-founding the groups “Soulful Trio” and “The Hood”. He also started taking improvisation lessons from saxophonist David Lynch.
In 2016 he continued his music education in Rotterdam, where he was accepted as a Jazz Composition student in Codarts University of the Arts under the mentorship of composer Paul M. van Brugge. He also took composition and instrumentation lessons from composers Rene Uijlenhoet, Renard Aust and Robin de Raaf and improvisation lessons from saxophonist Simon Rigter.
In 2020 he received a Bachelor’s degree in Composition and is accepted into the Master’s program.
He has worked as a bassist or as a composer with several musicians and ensembles from Athens and the Netherlands such as: David Lynch, Yiotis Kiourtsoglou, Nils van Haften, Laurens De Boer, Yoel Soto and more.
In 2022 he released his first personal album entitled “Aegean Suite”.
