Short Biography

Panagiotis Charalambopoulos was born in Athens in 1987. He studied computer science at the University of the Aegean in Samos and holds a master's degree in the "Jazz and new technologies" program of the Athens Univercity (Department of Music Studies).
He started playing clarinet at the Zografou Municipal Conservatory until the age of 15, when he switched to bass and guitar. Being initially self-taught, he then became a student of bassist Dinos Manos and began to enter the Athenian jazz community, of which he has been an active member in recent years.
He has collaborated with the Delasito group of vibraphonist Christos Sitoconstantinou and with guitarist Andreas Papagiannakopoulos, while he is a member of Telemachos Moussas quartet and actively participates in tap dancing group meetings.

Ο Παναγιώτης Χαραλαμπόπουλος γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1987. Σπούδασε πληροφορική στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου στη Σάμο και είναι κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού στο πρόγραμμα «Τζαζ και νέες τεχνολογίες» του ΕΚΠΑ (Τμήμα Μουσικών Σπουδών).
Ξεκίνησε παίζοντας κλαρινέτο στο Δημοτικό Ωδείο Ζωγράφου μέχρι την ηλικία των 15 ετών, οπότε και στράφηκε στο μπάσο και στην κιθάρα. Όντας αρχικά αυτοδίδκακτος, υπηρξε στη συνέχεια μαθητής του μπασίστα Ντίνου Μάνου και άρχισε να εισέρχεται στην Αθηναϊκή τζαζ κοινότητα, της οποίας τα τελευταία χρόνια είναι ενεργό μέλος.
Έχει συνεργαστεί με το σχήμα Delasito του βιμπραφωνίστα Χρήστου Σιτοκωνσταντίνου και με τον κιθαρίστα Ανδρέα Παπαγιαννακόπουλο, ενώ είναι μέλος του κουαρτέτου του Τηλέμαχου Μούσα και συμμετέχει ενεργά στις συναντήσεις ομάδων tap dancing (κλακέτες).
