Tassos Spiliotopoulos was born in Athens in 1978 (Athens, 1978). He moved to London in 2000 to pursue music and since 2013 he is based in Stockholm. While in London he quickly became a part of the UK Jazz scene and worked with many of the country's top musicians. He also studied at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama and at Trinity College of Music. Since the very beginning of his time in London, he has been touring with his own bands as well as numerous other creative projects, performing in clubs and festivals in over 15 countries in Europe, America and Asia. He has worked with artists such as Kenny Wheeler, Gary Husband, Asaf Sirkis, Dimitri Vassilakis, John Parricelli, Mike Outram, John Etheridge, and more. In 2005, he formed a quartet with three of the most talented musicians he has been playing with, Asaf Sirkis, Robin Fincker and Yaron Stavi. The Quartet's first album "Wait For Dusk" was released by Konnex Records in 2006. Spiliotopoulos' second album "Archipelagos" was released in 2010 on F-IRE records and featured special guests Kenny Wheeler and John Parricelli. 2016 marked a new collaboration between him and Swedish musicians Örjan Hultén, Fredrik Rundqvist, Palle Sollinger and the release of the new album "In the North". His music is built on to the modern jazz idiom, with influences from Greek folk music, film music, flamenco, blues and fusion.

Ο Τάσος Σπηλιωτόπουλος γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1978 (Αθήνα, 1978). Το 2000 εγκαταστάθηκε στο Λονδίνο, προκειμένου να κάνει καριέρα στη μουσική και από το 2013 ζει στη Στοκχόλμη. Κατά τη διάρκεια της παραμονής του στο Λονδίνο έγινε γρήγορα μέρος της αγγλικής σκηνής της τζαζ και δούλεψε με πολλούς από τους κορυφαίους μουσικούς της. Επίσης σπούδασε στο περίφημο Guildhall School of Music & Drama και στο Trinity College of Music. Από τότε που βρέθηκε στο Λονδίνο άρχισε να περιοδεύει με δικά του σχήματα καθώς και με άλλα δημιουργικά πρότζεκτ, παίζοντας σε κλαμπ και φεστιβάλ σε πάνω από 15 χώρες στην Ευρώπη, την Αμερική και την Ασία. Έχει δουλέψει με μουσικούς όπως ο Kenny Wheeler, ο Gary Husband, ο Asaf Sirkis, ο Δημήτρης Βασιλάκης, ο John Parricelli, ο Mike Outram, ο John Etheridge και πολλοί ακόμη. Το 2005, σχημάτισε ένα κουαρτέτο με τρεις από τους πιο ταλαντούχους μουσικούς που έχει συνεργαστεί, τον Asaf Sirkis, τον Robin Fincker και τον Yaron Stavi. Το πρώτο άλμπουμ του κουαρτέτου "Wait For Dusk" κυκλοφόρησε από την Konnex Records το 2006. Το δεύτερο άλμπου του Σπηλιωτόπουλου "Archipelagos", στο οποίο συμμετείχαν ως προσκεκλημένοι ο Kenny Wheeler και ο John Parricelli, κυκλοφόρησε από την F-IRE records το 2010. Το 2016 σηματοδότησε μια νέα συνεργασία με τους Σουηδούς μουσικούς Örjan Hultén, Fredrik Rundqvist και Palle Sollinger και την κυκλοφορία του άλμπουμ "In the North". Η μουσική του βασίζεται στο ιδίωμα της μοντέρνας τζαζ με επιρροές από την ελληνική παράδοση, την κινηματογραφική μουσική, το φλαμένκο, τα μπλουζ και το φιούζον.
