Short Biography
Manos Theodosakis was born in Athens and studied classical trumpet, symphonic percussion and music theory at Zografou Municipality Conservatory, as well as jazz improvisation at Athenaeum Conservatory. As a classical music trumpet and music theory teacher he taught at Athenaeum Conservatory.
He has been a member of the Athens State Orchestra and has collaborated with all symphonic orchestras in Athens (ERT, Orchestra of Colours, Greek National Opera, etc.). He is a member of the city of Athens Big Band since 2000 and he has served as its leader for six years.
He is a founding member of the band Jazz Police and has joined many groups of different music idioms: Pragma, Jazz Upstairs Big Band, Cubana Bop, Apurimac, Blues Bug, Locomondo, Desafinados, Savra ton Vasilikon Dromon and more.
He has collaborated with many artists of the jazz, rock and greek music scene.

Ο Μάνος Θεοδοσάκης γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα και σπούδασε κλασική τρομπέτα, συμφωνικά κρουστά και αρμονία στο Δημοτικό Ωδείο Ζωγράφου καθώς και jazz αυτοσχεδιασμό στο Ωδείο Athenaeum. Δίδαξε ως καθηγητής κλασσικής τρομπέτας στο Δημοτικό Ωδείο Ζωγράφου και ως καθηγητής τζαζ τρομπέτας και θεωρητικών στο Ωδείο Athenaeum.
Έχει διατελέσει μέλος της Κρατικής Ορχήστρας Αθηνών και έχει συνεργαστεί με όλες τις συμφωνικές ορχήστρες της Αθήνας (ΕΡΤ, Χρωμάτων, Λυρική κλπ.). Ως τρομπετίστας είναι μόνιμο μέλος και σολίστας της Big Band του Δήμου Αθηναίων από το 2000 και ήταν επικεφαλής της για περίπου έξι χρόνια.
Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος του συγκροτήματος Jazz Police και έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλά συγκροτήματα από διάφορα είδη μουσικής: Το Πράγμα, Jazz Upstairs Big Band, Cubana Bop, Apurimac, Blues Bug, Locomondo, Desafinados, Σαύρα των Βασιλικών Δρόμων κ.ά.
