Short Biography
Lola Totsiou was born in Thessaloniki and started playing the piano at the age of five. She studied at the National Conservatory of Thessaloniki, the Music University of Heidelberg - Mannheim and the Ferenc Liszt Academy in Budapest.
She has performed at many concerts and festivals in Greece and abroad. Except for classical music she expressed her interest in jazz, modern music and indian music. Among others she has collaborated with Kyriakos Sfetsas, Theodor Mirisclavos and Michalis Siganidis.
The taught for more than 30 years at Thessaloniki conservatories and the music department of Makedonia University. Since 2011 the directs the National Conservatory of Thessaloniki.

Η Λόλα Τότσιου γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη και άρχισε να παίζει πιάνο από πέντε ετών. Σπούδασε στο Κρατικό Ωδείο Θεσσαλονίκης, το Μουσικό Πανεπιστήμιο Χαϊδελβέργης - Μάννχαϊμ και την Ακαδημία Ferenc Liszt της Βουδαπέστης.
Έχει παίξει σε πολλές συναυλίες και φεστιβάλ στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Εκτός από την κλασική μουσική ασχολήθηκε και με την τζαζ, τη σύγχρονη μουσική και την ινδική μουσική. Μεταξύ άλλων έχει συνεργαστεί με τον Κυριάκο Σφέτσα, τον Θεόδωρο Μιρισκλάβο και τον Μιχάλη Σιγανίδη.
Δίδαξε για πάνω από 30 χρόνια σε ωδεία της Θεσσαλονίκης και στο τμήμα Μουσικής Επιστήμης και Τέχνης του Πανεπιστημίου Μακεδονία. Από το 2011 είναι Διευθύντρια του Κρατικού Ωδείου Θεσσαλονίκης.
