Theatro

Apostolis Anthimos was born in Poland to Greek parents. He is a guitar player who also plays bass, drums and keyboards. Since 1971 he has been the member of SBB, one of Poland’s leading progressive rock groups.
In the early '70s he also played with Niemen, a very famous Polish avant-garde musician. In the '80s he begun his collaboration with Tomasz Stańko.
During the years spent in Greece he was George Dalaras' drummer.
His debut album "Days We Can’t Forget” was released in 1994, featuring Gil Goldstein, Matthew Garrison, Paul Wertico, Jim Beard and Sugar Blue.
Anthimos was also in charge of the band Theatro, but for more than a decade now he has performed with his own trio, with Gary Husband and Etienne Mbappe.

Ο Αποστόλης Άνθιμος γεννήθηκε στην Πολωνία από Έλληνες γονείς. Είναι κιθαρίστας, αλλά παίζει ακόμη μπάσο, ντραμς και πλήκτρα. Από το 1971 είναι μέλος των SBB, ενός από τα κορυφαία γκρουπ του προοδευτικού ροκ στην Πολωνία. Στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του '70 έπαιξε επίσης με τον Niemen, έναν πολύ διάσημο αβάν γκαρντ Πολωνό μουσικό. Τη δεκαετία του '80 άρχισε τη συνεργασία του με τον Tomasz Stańko.
Το διάστημα που έζησε στην Ελλάδα ήταν ντράμερ του Γιώργου Νταλάρα.
Το πρώτο του άλμπουμ "Days We Can’t Forget”, με τη συμμετοχή του Gil Goldstein, του Matthew Garrison, του Paul Wertico, του Jim Beard και του Sugar Blue, κυκλοφόρησε το 1994.
Διατηρεί επίσης το συγκρότημα Theatro, αλλά εδώ και πάνω από μια δεκαετία εμφανίζεται κυρίως με το τρίο του, με τον Gary Husband και τον Etienne Mbappe.
