Short Biography
Asterios Papastamatakis was born in Chania. He studied classical piano at the National Conservatory and continued his studies at the Berklee College of Music, graduating with a diploma in arranging.
He has collaborated with many popular Greek artists, as well as with internationally famous musicians, such as Alex Foster and Stanton Moore. He has performed at many festivals and clubs (among the is the Ronnie Scott's in London) and has taught at Filippos Nakas Conservatory.
He is a founding member of the group Datfunk, with which he released the album "Steppin' Up" in 2016.

Ο Αστέριος Παπασταματάκης γεννήθηκε στα Χανιά. Σπούδασε κλασικό πιάνο στο Ωδείο Αθηνών και συνέχισε τις σπουδές του στο Berklee College of Music, απ΄ όπου αποφοίτησε με δίπλωμα ενορχήστρωσης.
Έχει συνεργαστεί με πολλούς δημοφιλείς Έλληνες καλλιτέχνες, αλλά και με γνωστούς μουσικούς από το εξωτερικό, όπως ο Alex Foster και ο Stanton Moore. Έχει εμφανιστεί σε πολλά φεστιβάλ και κλαμπ (ανάμεσά τους το Ronnie Scott's του Λονδίνου) και έχει διδάξει στο Ωδείο Φίλιππος Νάκας.
Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος των Datfunk, με τους οποίους κυκλοφόρησε το άλμπουμ Steppin' Up το 2016.
