Short Biography

Alkistis Lampropoulou was born into a musical family in Athens. She has developed a strong interest for music from a very young age. She graduated the music high school of Pallini and then went on obtaining a Bachelor and intergraded Master’s degree in Musicology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2011. In parallel, she studied classical piano and she obtained a degree in 2010.
At the age of 22 she begun singing professionally with various projects in many venues in Greece.
In 2014 she continued her studies at the Maastricht Conservatory and finished her bachelor studies at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague in 2018. In 2020 she obtained a Master's degree in Music, in the Jazz improvisation domain from the Codarts Conservatory of Rotterdam.
​Among her teachers were Wiebe Pier-Cnossen, Harjo Pasveer, Bart de Win, Francien van Tuinen, Tineke Postma and Jarmo Hoogendijk.
She has attended workshops & masterclasses by important musicians, such as Jay Clayton, Kurt Elling, Michael League, Marcus Miller and many more.
Her debut EP “A few words…” was released in 2021.
