Kostas Kouvidis was born in Thessaloniki in 1976. He started studying drums at the Conservatory of Contemporary Music of Thessaloniki at a very early age. He received a scholarship and finished his studies in classical harmony and jazz in 1995. The same year he won a scholarship from the Berklee College of Music and moved to Boston in 1996. He took music courses from top class musicians such as Ron Savage, Joe Hunt, Jackie Santos, Yoron Israel, Ron Mahdi etc. and graduated with a “Bachelor in music - major in performance” in 2001.
On his return to Greece he settled in Thessaloniki and in 2004 he moved to Athens. He became a founding member of the Out to Lunch Trio and started to perform at concerts and festivals. He was tragically lost in a car crash in Athens in 2007.

Ο Κώστας Κουβίδης γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη το 1976. Ξεκίνησε από πολύ μικρός μαθήματα ντραμς στο Σύγχρονο Ωδείο Θεσσαλονίκης. Τελείωσε με υποτροφία σπουδές κλασικής αρμονίας και τζαζ το 1995. Την ίδια χρονιά πήρε υποτροφία για το Berklee College of Music και μετακινήθηκε στο Βοστόνη το 1996. Μελέτησε με κορυφαίους μουσικούς όπως οι Ron Savage, Joe Hunt, Jackie Santos, Yoron Israel, Ron Mahdi κ.ά. και αποφοίτησε το 2001.
Γυρνώντας στην Ελλάδα εγκαταστάθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη και στη συνέχεια το 2004 στην Αθήνα. Έγινε ιδρυτικό μέλος του Out to Lunch Trio και άρχισε να παίζει σε συναυλίες και φεστιβάλ. Βρήκε τραγικό θάνατο σε αυτοκινητιστικό δυστύχημα στην Αθήνα το 2007.
