Short Biography

Christos Anestopoulos was born in Patra in 1971. He started guitar lessons in 1986 under the guidance of Dionisis Sabaziotis. Very soon he got involved in music composition and presented the first ones of his own with his teacher in 1993 in a concert organised by Nikos Touliatos. He also studied electric guitar with Takis Barberis and Yiotis Samaras, received a classical guitar diploma and completed courses in advanced music theory.
He has collaborated with artists such as Eivind Aarset, David Lynch, Nikos Touliatos and Giorgos Metaxas and has performed in festivals in Greece and abroad.
Furthermore he has composed music for dance, films, documentaries and video art.
His first album ‘Swinging over the surfaces’ was released in 2003.
