Short Biography
George Micros was born in Athens. He started with lessons in the classical department of the Athens Conservatory and completed his studies in advanced theory with Iosif Papadatos, in the piano jazz classes with Markos Alexiou and in the jazz & improvisation department of Sylvios Syrros at the Athenaeum, where he began teaching in 2006. piano, theory, music theory & workshop.
He has written music for short films and has collaborated with various bands and orchestras.
He has participated in bands such as: Mediterranean, Jazz4Fun, Buzz Sextet, Triton, Blue Faces, Wonderland, Black Cotton Doll and his own band Microtrio.

Ο Γιώργος Μικρός γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα. Ξεκίνησε με μαθήματα στο κλασικό τμήμα του Ωδείου Αθηνών και ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές του στα ανώτερα θεωρητικά με τον Ιωσήφ Παπαδάτο, στις τάξεις τζαζ πιάνου με τον Μάρκο Αλεξίου και στο τμήμα τζαζ & αυτοσχεδιασμού του Σύλβιου Σύρρου στο Athenaeum, όπου άρχισε να διδάσκει από το 2006 τζαζ πιάνο, θεωρία, ακουστικά & workshop.
Έχει γράψει μουσική για ταινίες μικρού μήκους και έχει συνεργαστεί με διάφορα σχήματα και ορχήστρες.
Έχει συμμετάσχει σε συγκροτήματα όπως: Μεσόγειος, Jazz4Fun, Buzz Sextet, Τρίτονο, Blue Faces, Wonderland, Black Cotton Doll και το δικο του σχήμα Microtrio.
