Melina Paxinos was born in Hamburg and she grew up listening to Manos Hatzidakis and rembetika. At the age of nine she gained a scholarship to study composition at the"Yamaha Music School Hamburg" where she began studying saxophone at the age of ten. Also, she studied music production - arranging and composition at SRH Hochschule der populaeren Kuenste in Berlin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts.
Her debut album "Circle of Oddness" was recorded in Germany and it was released in 2018. "Athens" which was released in 2019 is dedicated to Athens.
As a composer she combines modern jazz with her greek roots.

Η Μελίνα Παξινού γεννήθηκε στο Αμβούργο και μεγάλωσε ακούγοντας Μάνο Χατζιδάκι και ρεμπέτικα. Σε ηλικία εννέα ετών κέρδισε υποτροφία για να σπουδάσει σύνθεση στο "Yamaha Music School Hamburg" και στα δέκα άρχισε να μαθαίνει σαξόφωνο. Σπούδασε μουσική παραγωγή και ενορχήστρωση στο SRH Hochschule der populaeren Kuenste του Βερολίνου και αποφοίτησε με Bachelor of Arts.
Το πρώτο της άλμπουμ "Circle of Oddness", ηχογραφήθηκε στη Γερμανία και κυκλοφόρησε το 2018. Το "Athens" που κυκλοφόρησε το 2019 είναι αφιερωμένο στην Αθήνα.
Στις συνθέσεις της συνδυάζει τη μοντέρνα τζαζ με τις ελληνικές της ρίζες.
